FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST Campus Safety Conduct operational
                  tests of all College fire alarm and detection equipment.
Perform
                  regular inspections and operational tests of the College's
automatic
                  fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers. Conduct
fire safety
                  training sessions and regular fire drills. Assist with
responses to
                  medical and other emergencies.Required qualifications:
Associate's
                  Degree and a minimum of 2 years previous experience in fire
                  prevention and life safety service or the equivalent
combination of
                  education and experience. Working knowledge of automatic
fire alarm
                  and suppression systems, New York State building codes,
National Fire
                  Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines and Occupational
Safety and
                  Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Strong
interpersonal,
                  written and verbal communication skills, the ability to
respond to
                  emergency situations and a valid New York State Driver's
license are
                  required. Familiarity and understanding of bar code
inventory
                  programs, HAZWOPER certification, and previous work
experience in
                  a college or university setting are preferred.To apply,
