The Diane Rehm Show (10am - Noon)
        Hour one: Immigration Policy: With higher security concerns
in the U-S, there's renewed focus on our country's immigration
policies. Diane and her guests look at how existing laws are being
enforced, and talk about new legislation under consideration.
        Hour two: celebrating the 40th anniversary of the film "West
Side Story." Hear from two actors who won Oscars for their
performances, GEORGE CHAKIRIS and RITA MORENO. Also, meet MARNI
NIXON, the voice you hear when Natalie Wood sings.

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (noon - 1pm)
        Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the film "West Side

Public Interest with Kojo Nnamdi (1pm - 2pm)
        Architectural Icons & The American Landscape: Saint Louis'
Gateway Arch. The Empire State Building. The Golden Gate Bridge.
Certain landmarks reflect a city's history. Others capture its
spirit. And some just look nice. A discussion of our architectural
icons and how they define the American landscape. Guests: 1. Benjamin
Forgey (FOR-ghee), Architecture Critic, Washington Post; 2. Howard
Decker, Chief Curator, National Building Museum; 3. Suman Sorg
(SOO-mon SORG), Architect; Owner, Sorg & Associates

Talk of the Nation with Neal Conan (2pm - 4pm)
        Hour one: FEDERALIZING AIRPORT SCREENERS: Since the September
11th terrorist attack, lawmakers want to beef up airline security, by
fortifying cockpit doors and placing armed sky marshals on board
planes. But, there's disagreement between Democrats and Republicans
on the best way to tighten airport security. Neal talks with members
of Congress about the divide over federalizing airport workers.
        Hour two: NEO-SURVIVALISTS: Although the U-S air strikes are
taking place in Afghanistan, here at home Americans are on high
alert, and going to any means to feel safer, like stocking up on
water and food and buying gas masks. Neal talks with guests and YOU
about what Americans are doing differently since September 11th.

All Things Considered (4pm - 7pm)
        Local and state public health workers -- accustomed to
addressing problems like heart disease and AIDS -- now face a new
threat. The possibility of bioterrorism is forcing officials to think
differently about their jobs.
