        Hour one: Emergency Relief: Diane and her guests talk about
the massive charitable response to last month's terrorist attacks,
and what official aid is forthcoming to the families of victims, to
businesses, and to others who incurred substantial losses.
        Hour two: John Dean: John Dean, former Nixon White House
counsel, reveals the controversial story behind Justice William
Rehnquist's appointment to the Supreme Court. His new book is titled
"The Rehnquist Choice" (Free Press).

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (noon - 1pm)
        Meet Iranian-born novelist SALAR ABDOH <sal-AR AB-doh>. His
novel, "The Poet Game," is about an Iranian agent sent to New York to
thwart a terrorist plot.

        John Byrd was convicted of killing a convenience store clerk
in 1983. He's now on death row in Ohio, scheduled for execution next
week. He maintains he is innocent. And he has chosen to die by
electrocution rather than lethal injection to stir debate about his
case, and about capital punishment.
