Elieen,

1. There is one person in the IR office - which is me.

2. Most of the HEI reporting is done by me except for the Financial part (which I help on) but is done by the controller. Since the IPEDS reporting has gone to a web-based system I coordinate the reports i.e. staff. Any others I am responsible for.

3. No. We have one computer programmer for the entire college.

4. No suggestions.

Janine

To the Members of the OAIRP --

We're in the middle of some discussions about ways that Lakeland might increase
both the efficiency and effectiveness of the HEI and IPEDs reporting process.
I'm very interested in hearing how other institutions organize the reporting
process. IN particular, I have four questions,

1. How many people do you have in your institutional research office?

2. Is your HEI/IPEDs reporting process centralized and overseen by one office,
or is it decentralized throughout the college/university?

3. Do you have a computer programmer in your institutional research office?

4. Are there any suggestions you might make or organizational "best practices"
that have facilitated your information gathering and reporting processes?

Thanks very much --
