Birders

If any of you are looking for Short-eared Owls, we have a local spot
for them. Go 27 south out of Oxford about 3 miles or so until you hit
Nichols Rd (just before Marshall Elementary). Take a right onto
Nichols Rd and go to the first intersection. Go straight after the
stop sign. The owls (at least 2) can be seen between 6 and 6:30 PM
on either side of the road (look on fence posts also). If you come a
bit earlier, you will also see a "changing of the guard". There are
several Harriers that work the field in the daytime, before the owls
come out and start hunting.
