Hi Mike,
  Yes, Miami does have the Birds of North America Series but you are
right, it is a well kept secret.  It is at Brill Science Library
(Across from Pearson Hall) on the reference shelves.  Some of the
helpers know what it is and others don't, so just know that you need
to find the big series of books with bright red colors.

Good luck finding them, I can give you a guided tour if you let me
know when you'll be around.
