Just a response to one of John Crow's comments in this thread:

Perhaps John isn't aware that both Amy Benjamin and myself, two people who
are not only very active but also constitute 50% of the ATEG board, are K-12
teachers. True, we both teach in high school and would like to see more
elementary and middle/junior high school participants, but I think Amy might
agree with me that the participation of K-12 teachers has grown over the
past few years. The more and wider the participation, the stronger ATEG will
become.
John, if I'm not mistaken, you are a K-12 teacher and are becoming active in
a very positive way; your presentation at last year's conference was very
useful, for example, and I expect you have more good material to share.
Welcoming all levels of teaching,
Paul E. Doniger, Secretary
