I can only imagine that David is relieved that this student's work was not among the "lost" exams of a couple of weeks ago.  If partners face this kind of treatment in this student's world, imagine the consequences he or she would expect a forgetful prof to face!!

 

Given the Angel of Wharton's divine intervention, this is likely just another "blessing" to be counted related to this episode in David's life.
