Hello everyone and welcome back! I hope you are all excited and ready for
some fun this semester with ALAS (as always). Some things need to be
finalized by exec this week so stay posted for dates and times for this
semesters meetings, locuras and other events.
One event I want to mention is this Friday there will be a farewell party
for our adviser Claudia Lopez from 3-5 in the Great Room in MacMillan
Hall. Please stop by and wish her luck on her new adventures! I hope to
see everyone there as she has helped ALAS out in so many ways and we are
going to really miss her as an adviser and friend.

Also a few more things:
Last chance...If you want to attend the United States Hispanic Leadership
Conference (for free) on March 10-12, please let me know ASAP. Those who
already replied to me thank you!

And last but not least:
If you didn't know, the Grammy nominated  Tiempo Libre is coming to Miami
on February 3rd! This is going to be a huge event at Millet and they are
looking for students to help usher and once the event starts you will get
to enjoy the concert for free! They need a lot of help so please if you
are going anyways you can come out and help and get a free ticket :)
