Are they actually an appliance or just an x86 machine with Cisco's logo
on it?
Any idea what the list pricing is so I know whether or not to even
bother contacting my VAR?

Yeah we bit the bullet and bought two of the servers. I haven't
replaced the manager yet because of the licensing issues and the Perfigo
keys are based on the MAC address of the manager. I realize that its
throwing more money Cisco's way but if its a Cisco part number I can get
support on it no matter what and wont ever be accused of running on
"legacy hardware"
