Hi,
We support Firefox institutionally, so we've been writing our own
rules to ensure that it is upgraded. With the 1.5.0.1 release, we
began to have trouble relying on the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla
Firefox\CurrentVersion key to correctly report the version string (It
was sometimes reporting 1.5, and sometimes 1.5.0.1). As a
workaround, we added a File Version check that looked for File
Version later than 1.8.0.1: 2006011111 (Firefox 1.5.0.1 is 1.8.0.1:
2006011112). For some reason, this check seems to be failing on non-
US versions of Windows XP, specifically (so far) Korean versions of
XP. The users are installing the en-US version of Firefox, and their
File Version string is correct. Has anybody else used the File
Version check before and seen this problem?
Thanks,
