Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone has had a problem where the initial redirect to the
login web page isn't working?
When a browser is started, the initial home page is supposed to be
redirected to the web login page where Windows users can download the client
if they don't have it and other users (Macs, Linux) can log in through the
web page but this has not been reliable.
We have 4 servers: cas1a vlan 201, cas1b vlan 203, cas2a vlan 101, cas2b
vlan 103. Anyone on vlans 101 and 201 would not get redirected. Instead, it
would attempt to reach whatever their start page is, but because they have
not logged in, they just get a normal can't connect message. Initially we
thought that it was only a few Mac users having this problem and
concentrated on machine specific issues, but as it turned out, it was
affecting all on those 2 vlans.
After rebooting cas1a and cas2a the problem was resolved. The servers did
take a very long time reboot during which the network connection reset
twice. Maintained a ping against the servers and after it pinged for a
while, it stopped for a few minutes before pinging again. Both servers did
this twice. Not sure if this is accepted behaviour or related to the
redirect problem but all these things started after the upgrade to 3.6.2.
We're currently on 3.6.2.2
Any ideas or suggestions would be very welcome.
