License server on matlab is rather like a mystery to me.
If I put the new license file at a location and set the environment
variable "LM_LICENSE_FILE" to point to the location,
we may not even need to have the license server up and running.
module add matlab
export LM_LICENSE_FILE="/software/matlab/r14sp3/etc/
license-20060517.dat"
matlab
If this works, then we can choose not to run the license server and
update the LM_LICENSE_FILE env variable from the module matlab file.
I didn't see any warning messages that the license is going to expire.
Since I'm not a Matlab expert, may I request some users to test that ?
