Unfortunately it turned out to be a crappy day with rain or drizzle the whole time I was there, so birding was limited. The water level is finally being let down there, and mudflats are beginning to appear at the north end near Pancoastburg. The female Rufous is still here in Dayton. I'm curious about reported Rufous
sightings in Ohio over the last few years. Can anyone direct me to an
internet source or publication that will help?
I do have some photos of the bird and if you'd like more info or would like
to come see the bird please email me. We're really excited to have this autumn
visitor. We hope it sticks around for awhile.
We've had a few birders stop by today to see it. They all were successful.
