I was at Sims Park in Euclid today from about 11:30 to
1pm. I ran into Dave Ford while I was there. John
Pogacnik stopped by for a short time and gave some
helpful tips. The clouds got darker and then rain
moved in and the lighting deteriorated. Here is a
rough estimate of what was seen:
Common Goldeneye 170
Lesser Scaup 25+
Total Scoters approx 38(one group of 25 plus other
smaller groups)
Black Scoters 3 or 4
Surf Scoter 17-19
White-winged Scoter 12-15
Bufflehead few, Red-breasted Mergansers - over 500
Horned Grebe 1
Bonapartes Gulls - few
