Greetings... There was a little more, but not much more, variety on the
Great Miami River in Hamilton this week than last. I covered the area from
Combs Park north of Black Street Bridge, south to the Miami-Hamilton low
dam.

~2000+ Canada Geese, 200+ Mallard, 4 Greater Scaup (all males), 3 Bufflehead
(2 females, 1 male), ~8 Common Goldeneye (at least five females), 1 Common
Merganser (male), 5 Pied-billed Grebe, 4 American Coot, 2 Great Blue Heron,
1 Red-tailed Hawk, 2 Killdeer, 1 Wilson's Snipe, ~25 Ring-billed Gulls, 2
Mourning Dove, 20+ European Starlings, +++ House Sparrows.

The Wilson's Snipe was below the Miami-Hamilton low dam. Both Killdeer were
between the High Street and Black Street Bridge area.

Take care,
---Mike Busam
