ELECTIONS:

Available Positions & brief descriptions:

PRESIDENT:  preside over genral/officers' meetings, coordinate activities
& overlook the job of the rest of the officers, to represent ALAS & take
responsibility for its decisions, & to maintain regular contact with the
advisor.

VICE PRESIDENT:  help president lead meetings, take over duties in the
event that the president is unavailable, coordinate activities concerned
with programming

SECRETARY:  type meeting minutes, maintain up-to-date roster of members,
keep a list of semester objectives.

TREASURER:  to provide budget reports, collect member dues & report
payments, to keep a record of all financial transactions, & make deposits
to ALAS account when necessary.

PUBLICITY OFFICER:  to be responsible for specific e-mails, flyers, etc.
of all activities aimed at profs, university officals, or anyone else.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS:  attend diversity affairs meetings, & keep close
contact with other organizations on and off campus.

WEB MASTER:  update the website regularly, attend meetings.

We will be having nominations at the next general body meeting (April 2nd)
and then elections at the last general body meeting (April 16th).

Please attend so that you can be apart of the elections, but if you are
unable to attend send me or any of the exec an email saying who you want
to nominate or vote for.
