I was able to bird three different areas today.
First stop was my backyard in North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County. I had a
few warblers concentrated in the higher parts of
the canopy. They included:
BLUE-WINGED WARBLER (a yard 1st)
Tennessee Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black -throated Green Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler
I then headed east to the Station Road Bridge area in Brecksville, off
Riverview Rd (and just below SR82). Highlights were:
Northern Parula Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Palm Warblers
Yellow Warbler
Cerulean Warbler
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
From there I headed south to the Langes Run Trailhead in Summit County
(Akron-Peninsula Rd. to Wetmore Rd. Park at Wetmore Trailhead lot &
find trail across street). This area was really busy considering the
time of day that I was on the trail (12:30 - 2:00). Highlights:
BLUE-WINGED WARBLER 4-5 calling and foraging
Yellow Warblers many calling
Yellow-rump Warblers
American Redstart - female
Common Yellowthroat
Scarlet Tanager
Rufous-sided Towhee 4
Chipping Sparrows
Field Sparrows
Song Sparrows
Wild Turkey
See you on the trails,
Chris Pierce
