Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of I
270 & Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Below is a list of birds
seen in Blendon Woods the last fwe days.
Lake Trail
E Wood Peewee
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
E Towhee
Thoreau Lake
Wild Turkey-female with 4 young. She is roosting in the pine
trees near the west blind. She spreads her wings out & covers her young.
E Phoebe-2
Mallard-8
Green Heron-2
Cedar Waxwing- 2 young
Chimney Swift-3
Redhead-male
Belted Kingfisher-female
Scarlet Tanager-male
Indigo Bunting-young male
Carolina Wren-2
E Kingbird-young
Willow Flycatcher-?
Ruby-throated Hummingbird-3
Red-eyed Vireo
