We rode our bikes on the Holmes County trail from Millersburg to near
Fredericksburg on Tuesday, July 29 beginning about 11:00 AM. At about mile 7 we
spotted two adult and two juvenile sandhill cranes in an agricultural field to
the east right side) of the trail. They were foraging in the field and at one
point one adult had to chase down a juvenile that had roamed off into the
trees. Pretty exciting for newbie birders!
