The link below is to a piece in The New Republic about the Wall Street
Journal's odd use of scare quotes. It's potentially useful as a
discussion starter about the relation between punctuation and bias, etc.
It is, of course, political itself, so apologies for that; I thought its
potential utility outweighs the annoyance factor inherent in posting
partisan material in an academic forum. There's also an inset video
clip, but it has almost nothing about scare quotes (it's just
WSJ-bashing).
