DD: Think Shannon's work on Communication Theory. If the intended
message gets across and is understood by the receiver, the link is
good. No matter the message is incorrect. The grammar and the
transmission worked. Grammar is our theme. It is essential to
successful communication. Content of the message is another matter.
Not our job. Perhaps a field for ethic or moral philosophers. Still
if you could slip me some of your examples, off list, I would greatly
appreciate it. I'll use them with my Latin students.
