Hello to all, I wanted to inform you about an exciting opportunity for you to earn credit and make a difference in the life of an at-risk child here on campus. Next school year we are rolling out Miami Connections, a half-day, M-F dropout prevention program for the most at-risk freshmen and sophomores in our local community. It will take place at Boyd Hall on Western campus. As mentors, you would meet with your partner twice a week and assist with transition to high school, socially and academically. Total time commitment about 3 hours per week. We would love to have 100% special education majors as mentors.

Since you took 220 last term I might miss you in the class rounds I'm making. Space is very limited, so if you think you might be interested, please feel free to contact me.
