The birding was pretty slow at both areas on Sunday.
Highlights at Station Rd. included:
Yellow-throated Warblers. Great views of them at eye level working the
Sycamores right next to the river bank. Thanks to Jen B and her group
for the tip.
Louisiana Waterthrush calling
Black-throated Green Warbler
Yellow Warblers
Broad-wing Hawk - seen soaring amongst a few Turkey Vultures
Bald Eagle
Ira Rd. yielded both a calling Warbling Vireo and Prothonotary Warbler
as well as some great close up looks at Wood duck pairs.
All in all, it was most pleasant for a Sunday morning walk.
See you on the trails,
Chris Pierce
