Subject: question and news

HI everyone,

A friend who is a German lawyer is looking for a popular US law dictionary (e.g. Black's).  But she is trying to find one that is in German.  My own web search turned up nothing.  Anyone have any suggestions?

On other personal news (which I couldn't bear to boast about unless I had some other reason to post on ALSBTALK), I received a crisp white letter in my department mailbox.  The letter duly informed me that the Board of Trustees of the University of Connecticut recommended my promotion to Associate Professor, with tenure, effective August 23, 2010.  Heartfelt congratulations followed.

A fourteen year academic journey has passed a vital milestone.  I couldn't have done it without the help of my very good friends in this wonderful academic community.   I look forward to celebrating with anyone and everyone most heartily in Richmond!
