We were with a small group of birders at the Chris Troyer home this afternoon.
At 3:30 the male Rufous appeared at Troyer's feeder. After feeding, he flew across the road and perched in a large nearby tree. Mr. Troyer was able to spot the perched Rufous with a scope. The Rufous remained perched until 4:25 when he returned to feed and again, flew across the road to the same tree. We left around 5:00 and the bird was still perched in the tree.
Thanks to the Troyer family for their wonderful hospitality and willingness to provide information.
