A coworker (who is on vaca) was working with TAC on this issue. To quote the TAC engineer:

"We found out that with the iPad patch, there's a problem with the Java applet with certain versions
of Mac OS and Java combinations which you were hitting....I'll recreate and file a bug here soon and
will advise of the bug ID."

Our in-band CAS was experiencing the issue but our OOB CASs were not. The IB CAS was the only one we
patched for iPads. We went the route of disabling the web client as it isn't needed for IB
deployments in our environment (we push the NAC agent for Macs). The case hasn't been updated since
7/8/10 so I'm going to ping the TAC engineer for the bug ID.
