The 2011 Miami University Global Game Jam is registration is currently open. It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in making a digital or board game. We are expanding this year’s event to 40 participants. Please encourage any interested Miami students, faculty, staff and friends to participate. Feedback from last year’s event was overwhelmingly positive and this year’s event promises to be even better. If you’d like more information please visit http://aims.muohio.edu/gamejam or feel free to ask me. I have attached an e-poster as well. Thanks for your help and support.
Event Date: January 28-30
Cost: $40 (all meals and facilities included)
Description:
The Global Game Jam is an international opportunity to connect, innovate and be creative.
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) encourages people to challenge themselves and be creative. Over the course of a weekend you and a team of game makers will build a game (computer or otherwise) from paper prototype to finished marvel. The game theme will be given to you on the first day of the event - what you do with the theme is your choice.
Game Jam participants range from amateurs to professionals and include industry pros, students, faculty, hobbyists and anyone with a passion for making games. In its third year, the GGJ is a global experiment in creativity you won’t want to miss.
