An immature BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE was observed flying and feeding with some
Bonaparte's gulls on the lake behind my house in North Perry this evening.
The bird was observed from about 6:15-6:45 before it and the Bonaparte's
feeding flock slowly moved west out of site.
There were a lot of good birds today. New for the year were osprey, chimney
swift, rough-winged swallow, ruby-crowned kinglet, pine warbler,
yellow-rumped warbler, and field sparrow.
A belated record. A Forster's tern was observed at Lorain harbor yesterday.
It was at the muni pier.
