Would a FB page or locked blog allow us to choose which discussions we wanted to participate in and when? As opposed to getting zillions of emails? If so, I am all for it.

But, I love FB.

It need not be Facebook per se. A locked blog would work as well, probably better. The chief advantage would be the ability to skim the posts quickly and cherry-pick the discussions one wants to follow. (Despite everyone's best efforts, this has not happened on the mailing list.)

NB, the security/privacy issues on FB wouldn't exist for a locked page anyway. (In general, I have yet to see such an issue that couldn't be resolved in five minutes by flipping the settings. But I get it that people are cautious.)

I may be the only one, but I don't use Facebook and am not interested in starting.

E-mail is a 1990s mechanism for our discussions. What would people think of shifting to something like a Facebook group? The discussions would be easier to follow in one stream. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this.
