Hi Donna-

I really enjoyed reading your book and I think my students might also. It's interesting, fast-moving, and has enough, but niot too much, sex and violence to appeal to student readers. I'm planning to use it this fall in my Legal Environment classes as an optional extra credit assignment. I'm thinking that I will give them a list of the legal issues I have identified in the novel and ask them to tell me the page numbers. In order to avoid cheating I will talk briefly with each student who turns in the assignment to make sure they have really read the book. If you have other suggestions I would like to hear them.

Pat Pattison

Subject: New Orleans Volunteer Needed for Twisted Links Delivery

Hi everyone,

Is there anyone local attending the conference who'd be willing to receive and transport 10 copies of my book, Twisted Links, to be used as door prizes at the conference? If not, I suppose I can send them to the hotel, but timing might be an issue. I cannot be at the conference in New Orleans, but I will be at SEALSB this year.

If you remember from my recent post, I've written a "business law novel." You can find the book and reviews on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, although reviewers are mostly going to Amazon. It's available for the Kindle too.

I am hoping the book will be used as a classroom supplement. Students, so far, have loved it. I have several folks from this group currently reading it, but if you are still interested in being a reviewer, I have 5 review copies left. I'd be happy to get one to you, just email me.

I'm looking for someone who might use it in the classroom and consider co-authoring a paper. I am also working on an electronic version of the instructor's guide. The book is ripe for classroom discussion and debate. Plus, it's very entertaining and full of business law chaos.

So....

1. Anyone from NOL willing to let me ship 10 copies to your house to take to the conference?

2. Who is ultimately in charge of door prizes?

3. If you are interested in a review copy, I've got 5 left and can put one in the mail to you. First come, first served.

4. If you read it, please give me feedback and if you are willing to discuss a paper, let me know.

Thanks!

Donna
