Of course. I'm glad it was so helpful to so many.

For those interested in studying ELS in more depth on their own, I recommend "The Stata Survival Manual" http://www.amazon.com/Stata-Survival-Manual-David-Pevalin/dp/0335223885. It teaches the basics of empirical work though the lens of one of the most popular statistical software packages.

> As you know from the program, John Allison and I are hosting an empirical legal studies workshop on Wednesday August 10 in the LaFitte-Conti room at the upcoming conference. The workshop will introduce the concept of empirical legal studies and will not assume background knowledge of statistics. Math-o-phones and stat-o-phobes welcome!

> During the session break, participants will perform a short case coding exercise to experience the process of gathering data for an empirical project. The coding exercise is attached if anyone is an eager beaver and wants to read through the exercise on the plane flight to New Orleans. The goal of exercise is to code a simply trademark infringement case and its likelihood of confusion factors.
