I checked Evans L. and Pine L. in eastern Mahoning Co. this afternoon. These two reservoirs are pretty close to each other; both are the result of damming Yellow Creek as it flows north to the Mahoning R. Combined bird list: 400 Canada geese, 10 n. shovelers, 90 ruddy ducks, 1 common loon, 5 pied-billed grebes, 5 double-crested cormorants, 2 great blue herons, 2 adult bald eagles, 180 Am. coots, 650 ring-billed gulls, 30 herring gulls, and yellow-rumped warbler.
