On the east side of the north pond as related by Sean last week (thank you very much) I found three Nelson's and many Swamp and even more Savannah Sparrows. Plus three Marsh Wrens.
At the south pond, there was also a Nelson's, plus two Snipe, and a few White-rumped Sandpipers and a few Pectoral Sandpipers and one Short-billed Dowitcher.
The marsh wrens seemed quite grey to me, barely any brown colors at all. Is this typical in the fall here abouts ? Sibley's shows quite colorful birds even in the fall, except for a grey Worthington sub-species from the Georgia coast.
