Hi Heidi,
I recently became one of the campus editors at The Student, and I noticed we need of a head page designer and an online editor. I know that PW majors and minors have the qualifications for both of these positions (as do other majors such as IMS), and I was wondering if you could forward this to PW majors and to PW faculty, and, if you wouldn't mind, to IMS majors as well.
- The page designer duties are to manage the other designers in the production of the paper. Anyone who is well versed in In-Design is qualified. I know that at least ENG 411 teaches In-Design if not more PW classes.
- Online editor duties are a little bit different and a little more writing based, but knowing the PW curriculum I know that any PW major is qualified as long as they are familiar with HTML, CSS and Dreamweaver.
Any applicant that we hire will be trained by the current online editor and the current head page-designer. These are also both paying positions.
