I birded today at lost bridge and the oxbow lots of shorebirds in both areas . The shorebirds are spread out at Lost bridge making it difficult to find them . At this location 30 Least Sandpiper , 15 Semipalmated Sandpiper , 1 Greater Yellowlegs and 5 Pectoral Sandpiper.
At the oxbow much better variety also spread out , Highlights were 3 American Avocet on the main pond where the waders are usually seen. Also on the main pond 2 Juv. Stilt Sandpiper , 1 juv. Short billed dowitcher , 20 least Sandpiper , 4 Semipalmated Sandpiper , 3 Pectoral Sandpiper , 19 Lesser Yellowlegs , 4 Greater Yellowlegs .
On Osprey pond at the Oxbow 1 juv Western Sandpiper was the highlight also 1 Semipalmated Plover more least , Semipalmated and Pectoral sandpipers were also seen at this spot .
Cheers
Andrew
