Many thanks to the posts about Berlin Lake Trail. I went there today and
saw the following, some of which are life birds and others Ohio birds for
me.
Hooded Mergansers - probably at lest 100
Canvasbacks
American Wigeon - many, probably at least 50
Lesser Scaup
Northern Pintails
Redheads
Ring-neck ducks
American Black ducks - six, with very good looks at a male and female.
Canada Geese (too many to count)
Mallards (many)
Would emphasize that a scope is necessary.
Also saw an Eastern Towee and heard at least one other.
