42 species in less than 6 hours.

Highlights include:
Red-headed woodpecker
Pine warbler
Eastern phoebe
Double-crested cormorant
Pied-billed grebe
Greater Scaup
Bufflehead
Hooded mergansers

There are birds everywhere. Only got out of my car for the water birds. You can find the complete checklist from today's trip on ebird. Just look for red-headed woodpecker for the current year in Ohio and click on the marker for Clean Lake (just southeast of Caesar's Creek). [...]44_21Mar201321:50:[log in to unmask]

    Common loon - floating close to shore on the lake  and quite
vocal--excellent view (Also 4 flyovers)
    White-winged scoter (Dean Porter sighting)
    Horned grebes - many
    Buffleheads
    Lesser scaups
    Ring-necks
    Redheads
    American wigeons
    American coots
    Belted kingfisher
    Mallards
    Canada geese
    Cooper hawks
    Turkey vultures
    Eastern phoebe (Eastwood Metropark)

Huffman Metropark:
    Mute swan
    Ruddy ducks
    Lesser scaups
    Redheads
    Ring-necks
    Mallards
    Pied-billed grebe
    Canada geese
