There were a pair of eared grebes in LaDue on Rte 44, south of 422 this
afternoon. Also there were scaup, redhead, bufflehead & a double-crested
cormorant flew over. The pacific loon is still around; it kept moving along
Valley Road, from the 422 causeway to the dam, with a crowd of birders in
tow. Other birds along Valley Road included a pair of common mergansers,
coots, common loons, red-breasted mergansers, a juvenile eagle being
harangued by seagulls, tree swallows, great blue heron and others birds I am
sure I forgot.
