AWESOME!!!
Sorry, I do not have an answer for you but that is the same bird I reported in
my yard in Elyria on Saturday May 25th.
Did you notice that it would fly and then drop periodically, as if weighted
down? That is what it appeared to do a couple times in my wildflowers. It did,
I believe successfully, briefly drink from my feeder, but was quickly run off
by a male. Thanks for the photos!! The bee is positioned closer to the tip
than it previously was in May.
It appears she is doing well since it has been carrying that bee for at least
a month and a half, which is certainly good news!
I just wondered if it was impaled or somehow glued to its top bill. Keep us
posted!
Thanks,
Greg
