Subject: Life After Law is Out! (You'll Love It.)

At the risk of obnoxious self-promotion, I'm writing to share good news with ALSB. My new book, Life After Law: Finding Work You Love with the JD You Have , released earlier this week, is currently the #1 best-selling Legal Profession book on Amazon. Most of my ALSB colleagues will understand the joy I felt in moving from Big Law practice to my new job teaching business law at Bentley. I wrote Life After Law to help other unhappy lawyers make a similarly rewarding transition into another field that better fits their skills, interests and values. Life After Law tells the stories of 30 ex-lawyers who went on to a wide range of interesting new careers and provides practical advice for leaving law based on their experiences and my own.

I've been honored to get great media attention from WSJ.com, Barrons.com, Above the Law, ABAJournal.com, Publishers Weekly, and many other places. I recently appeared on CBS Radio and Bloomberg Radio, where I talked a lot about the joys of teaching business law to business students. Life After Law will also be featured in upcoming issues of ABA Journal and California Lawyer.

If you know any unhappy lawyers, or law students who are wondering what else they can do, you can get copies for them here . It is (or will be) in Barnes & Nobles across the country too.

Thanks for indulging me and for all your support.

Best,

Liz
