The first meeting will be next week in Marysville, on Wednesday, September 18th, at 7:30 p.m. You don't need to be a Union County resident to attend; our group is going to organize birding trips and bring in speakers about interesting topics. The molting juvenile Red Phalarope is still present as of 2:50 PM. Be patient as it might be difficult to see from the Crane Creek Estuary Trail. It likes the small pools tucked back in the cattails.
Thousands of Common Terns and hundreds of Forster's. Upwards of 5,000 total. Not many other shorebirds present.
Good luck!
