Dr. Pemberton,
My condolences to you on your loss. I did not know Tim personally, but I also went to Stanford, for law school. Take care.

David Orozco was recently awarded tenure at Florida State. Such well-deserved recognition by such a talented colleague is worth celebrating!

Subject: Gender v. Attractiveness

Hello,

This morning’s class discussion was excellent. Students who almost never speak found a soapbox to add their views. I know this came up a few months ago regarding a dental assistant that a wife didn’t approve of. One would think that an attractive yoga instructor/massage therapist would be inspirational and good for business.

Alas (I’ve always wanted to use “alas” in a proper context), I’ve never had this issue come up in my employment history.
