Open water at the spillways at both dams yielded a good variety of ducks.
Hoover:
Pretty much the same waterfowl & gulls Rob Thorn reported yesterday incl the Common Loon. I did not see the Common Merganser, just Red-breasted & Hooded. A couple Great Blue herons.
Alum Crk:
Redhead
Canvasback
Bufflehead
Mallard
Com Coldeneye
Red-breasted Merganser
Canada Geese
Driving back, I saw a Rough-legged Hawk near Carroll from Rt 33. Only other raptors were Red-tailed.
