How could I forget my FOS Chestnut-sided Warbler! Right before I spotted my FOS Scarlet Tanagers-a pair.
I also puzzled over a thrush I saw at clear creek but once I checked my field guides, it had to have been a Swainson's. The buffy eye ring/spectacles were almost orangey in the filtered light of the forest. Strong spotting, dull back.
I also had one White-thr Sparrow at Wahkeena sat. And a Broad-tailed Hawk sat at Clr Crk.
Some other birders at Clr Crk Sat said they saw a Bay-breasted & Prairies (way up cemetary ridge I think; they weren't sure of the trail name). I looked both days for the Bay-breasted but dipped.
