The conditions at Eastlake are fairly treacherous and icy. Please be cautious if you plan to try for the Harlequin or the Long-tailed Duck. With the wind change the ice shelves have broken up and there are fewer ducks and gulls here today. I did not get close to the edge to check for the Long-tailed but others have looked with no luck today so I've heard. I scoped the area for about an hour but came up empty for these beauties. The conditions certainly changed overnight.
