Dear Dan,
Christoph and I will keep your son, you and Andrea in our prayers. We were sorry we had to miss the meeting in Phili and look forward to seeing everyone in San Juan. Best Connie

Subject: My resignation

In light of Bill Shaw's email, I feel I need to address my sudden resignation. I sincerely apologize for any disruption that this has caused. My wife Andrea and I are caring for our son who suffers from a severe mental illness, and my resignation will help on that front. My discussion with the EC ended with a mutual agreement that it would be best if I resigned. I wish only best for our fine academy. See you all in San Juan.
