This afternoon about 5:30 at Woods Road wetland(2 roads west of 118
betweenj Ansonia and Rossburg), I found
1 Redneck Phalorope in breeding plumage
1 possible Stilt Sandpiper. It was not in breeding plummage, but had
longer, light yellow legs and a slightly longer and down curved beak than a
Lesser Yellowlegs freeding near it.
20 or so Semipalmated Plovers
a few Least Sandpipers
maybe as many as 20 Semipalmated Sandpipers.
1 Lesser Yellowlegs
3 Killdeer
3 Great Egrets
2 BW Teal
6 Mallards
mixed flock of about 20 tree and barn swallows
Redwings
Starlings
House Sparrows
