Chagrin River Park (http://www.lakemetroparks.com/parks/chagrin-river.shtml)
in Willoughby, Lake County was hopping with warblers today, and reportedly
yesterday too. All were in the large oak
trees (except Mourning and Ovenbird) in the Rural Road parking lot and around
the picnic shelter. The birds are way at
the tops of the trees but we had:
Ovenbird
Black-and-white Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Mourning Warbler
American Redstart
Cape May Warbler
Northern Parula
Magnolia Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler
Yellow Warbler
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Palm Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Other birds of note were Bobolinks, Least Flycatcher, Great
Crested Flycatcher, tons of Indigo Buntings…
