What a great morning--especially at the North Park. Species seen and heard:
East Metropark:
DC cormorants
Wood thrush
Blue-winged teal
Northern parula
Louisiana waterthrushes
Eastern bluebirds
Common yellowthroat
Indigo buntings
Tree and barn swallows
North Park:
Black-crowned nightherons - 2
Great blue heron
Green heron
Purple martins
Barn, tree, and rough-winged swallows
Red-winged blackbirds
Yellow warbler
Wood ducks
Common yellowthroat
Turkey vulture
DC cormorant
Red-tailed and broad-winged hawks
American goldfinches
Yesterday at our home feeders we had 4 rose-breasted grosbeaks (3m, 1f).
What a treat!
